These are important questions that should be answered before you want to order a canvas print:

How big do you need your canvas? We can produce any size banner from 1 foot to 1000 feet.
How long will they be displayed? We offer canvas that have a 2-3 year life span up to 100 years.
How will they be attached? We can make grommets, pole pockets, wrapped on strecher bars. You can use wire tie, bungee cords, screws with washers, metal rods, pvc rods, etc.
What is it being attached to? Brick wall, sheetrock, fence, stucco.

These are all important questions that should be answered.

Based on the answers to these questions we can choose the appropriate material for your canvas prints and the correct finishing so that it won't tear or fail prematurely.

Please note: due to the nature of vinyl characteristics, a discrepancy of up 2" is possible when producing large scale banner sizes. Vinyl can shrink from heat, or when rolled or folded in shipping.

Vinyl Banner Characteristics:

Three-ply material with PVC on the outside layers and an 1000x1000 denier polyester scrim inside.
Vinyl banners with Solvent ink have a semi-gloss finish. UV ink have a matte finish.
All banners are Anti-mildew, anti-UV.
Our custom vinyl banners are designed to withstand temperatures as low as minus 55 degrees Fahrenheit and have a tensile strength of 333x281 lbs/in.

CANVAS PRINTING CHARACTERISTICS

Standard wrap

This method is used when you do not plan to place your print in a frame but want to hang it up immediatley.

Approximately .75 inch of the image on every side will wrap around, therefore the image itself will need to be 1" bleed on each side of the graphics so we can wrap wround on the strecher bars. i. e. for a canvas size of 24" x 36" please provide the final image size 26" x 38". The frame thickness is 3/4 inch.

The flexibility of a vinyl banner makes it a great medium for both households and businesses. It’s best used in applications that benefit from its noticeably huge size. Businesses can use banners as POP or point of purchase displays, store signage, and retail banners to attract more foot traffic, while households can use banners as party decorations or sports banners. Our commercial banner printing services allow you to print a vinyl banner that perfectly suits your preferences.

Option 1: Grommets on all sides

Banners with grommets: You can either mount your banner directly to a wall using screws and washers. Against a chain link fence, fasten through the grommets with nylon ties or wire. Also you can run a rope (or a bungee cord) through the grommets and attach your banner to two poles (reinforced webbing is required for this option).

Option 2: Pole Pockets on all sides

Banners with pole pockets: you can insert a rod or a pipe thorough the pockets, on the top pocket, you use J-Hooks to mount the rod or pipe. The bottom pocket you can hook up straps or bungee cords to the rod/pipe on one side and connect the other side to a wall or a strong stationary object.

Option 3: Pole pockets on top & bottom of the banner, Grommets on left & right side of the banner

The bottom pocket you can hook up straps or bungee cords, or adjustable screws to the rod/pipe on one side and connect the other side to a wall or a strong stationary object. On the banner sides, you can mount your banner directly to a wall using screws and washers.

A vinyl banner can last for years if you care for it and store it properly. Here is how to clean and store your banner to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

Removing Creases from the banner sign:

Outdoor Banner Installations: When a banner is installed outdoors and nicely stretched and secured, the crease will come out from the sun rays in 24-48 hours.
Indoor Banner Installations: Removing the creases from the vinyl banners is very simple. The equipment you need for removing the creases are a clothing iron and a wet cotton cloth. Just place the vinyl banner in a flat surface, and place the wet cotton cloth over it. Once this is done, iron the wet cotton cloth placed over the banner. The steam produced during this process will eliminate the creases in the banner. Proper care should be taken that the cloth iron doesn't make any direct contact with the banner which will result in permanent damage of the banner.
A hair blow dryer or a heat gun will remove the creases as well, Proper care should be taken that the equipment doesn't make any direct contact with the banner which will result in permanent damage of the banner.

Vinyl Banner Cleaning:

Keeping your banner clean puts out a good impression. Our full-color printed banners are a snap to care for. Echod Graphics recommends using a non-detergent, when needed to clean your vinyl banner. Do not use detergents or other aggressive cleaners, as they can destroy the color print. Use a non-abrasive cloth and avoid all cleaning pads.
Vinyl banners must be cleansed with wholly un-abrasive methods. It is incumbent not to use any solvents when cleaning your custom vinyl banners. We suggest wiping down your full color banner with a damp and soft cloth, ensuring not to use any abrasive cloths or paper towels when doing so.
If your damp cloth with water will not do it and you need to get it cleaner, we suggest you use a mild soap/water solution on your banner. If you do use some soap, make sure that you remember to rinse with water completely to ensure that all of the soapiness is removed.
It is very important not to use any severe or harsh cleansers or solvents of any kind. Because it may affect the quality of your custom banner. Also, be certain your vinyl banner is dry before putting your custom banner in storage.

Storing your Vinyl Banner:

Make sure that you are storing your banners properly when you have to put them away. You want to make sure that you are not folding the banner ink to ink, putting the printed side of ink touching the other side of ink will potentially stick together and damage the print.
Roll up each banner individually with the print inside and the white back side on the outside, or put newsprint between banners if you’re rolling several together.
Make sure to place a piece of foam or paper between the first fold or in the begining of rolling up the banner so the inks do not touch.
Store the banner in a tube. Once you’ve rolled your banner, put it inside the original shipping carton, or buy a large tube.
Control the temperature. Don’t store the banner in very hot place or where it will be exposed to the sun, or in a very cold place, like your car trunk or a storage unit. Room temperature and dry location is best for prolonging the life of the ink and the banner itself.
